WIBH Celebrates 16 Years on the Air!

September 21:  Listener Appreciation Day!  Many thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate!!

Coach's Show at Pizza Hut

Picture
September 4: Moury Bass, Coach Detering, and the Voice of the Wildcats, Adam Smith discuss last week's game at West Frankfort and look ahead to the first home game against Murphysboro.  Bring your AJ Fans to Pizza Hut each Wednesday night at 7:00 and listen LIVE.

Tailgate Show
Everyone had a great time at the first WIBH Tailgate Show on September 6 before AJ's first home game against Murphysboro!  Join us before each home game at 5:30 p.m. by the Pit.  Or listen live on AM 1440.  Come visit with our guests and spin for prizes on the Big Wheel!

Election night coverage.  We did all of our election night coverage this year from our studio thanks to the new technology being used at the courthouse.  Carrie Ligon anchored the event while keeping up with the national races and all of the state reports from the Illinois Radio Network, while Moury was across the room keeping up with all of the local returns.  These pictures are courtesy of former WIBH employee Lauren Capel, who  hung out with us for the evening.
We expanded our football coverage this year by broadcasting a Tailgate Show live from the A-J parking lot prior to each home game.

Coad's Public Safety Day: April 28, 2012

What a day!  Thanks to everyone who helped make  Coad's Public Safety Day so much fun!  On hand were Anna Police, Anna Fire Department, Ambulance Service, and Civil Defence.  The Sheriff's Department and DEA were collecting unused prescriptions as part of National "Take Back" Day,  Bridget Rice of Illinois State Police was on hand with The Seat Belt Convincer,  and Two Rivers Child Advocacy Center was providing information about child abuse prevention and taking action.
